Staff

Dog trainer David Burns hails from Madison and has worked in the animal-care field since 1987. David is certified in dog training/behavior and has a certificate from the United States K-9 Academy. David loves working with dogs and enjoys working with the staff at Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital.
At home, David cares for three dogs: Sheba, a Belgian Malinois, and Lazer and Gem, a pair of German Shepherds. David and his dogs also frequently take part in obedience and agility competitions. David's hobbies include running, basketball, fishing, biking and watching the Green Bay Packers.
Groomer Theresa Kluge has been part of the Sauk Prairie staff since March 2006. Theresa has more than 12 years experience in the animal care field, and previously worked as a boarding and breeding manager at a horsefarm and as a mobile dog groomer. In addition to her duties at the hospital, Theresa breeds, raises and sells registered Morgan horses and is a member of the American Morgan Horse Association. Theresa is proud to work with the friendly staff at the hospitaly and enjoys the high quality care offered to clients and pets.
At home, she cares for a cat, a dog and 10 horses. Her hobbies include gardening, hunting, fishing and mos tother outdoor activities.
