Joseph Kelley, DVM
The owner of Sauk Prairie Small Animal Hospital, Dr. Joseph Kelley is a native of Sauk City. Dr. Kelley has practiced medicine at the hospital since 1990. Prior to practicing at Sauk-Prairie, Dr. Kelly practiced medicine as an associate veterinarian at Gateway Animal Hospital in Illinois.
Dr. Kelley attended the University of Wisconsin-Platteville, and received a Bachelor's Degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry in 1984. He went on to attend the University of Wisconsin School of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1989. Dr. Kelley's professional interests include surgery, exotics and wildlife and orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Wisconsin Veterinary Medical Association and the Dane County Veterinary Medical Association.
Dr. Kelley and his wife, Jodi Ann, the hospital's administrator, have two children, Morgan and Brenna. They share their home with a number of pets, including two Jack Russell Terriers, four cats, a boa constrictor and an iguana. His hobbies include biking, hunting, hiking and boating.
